Fall Out

I am writing this from behind the squishy soft dome of my third contact lense of the day, puzzlingly I still only have two eyes.

Not knowing what to write about I have decided to write about one of the most exciting things that has happened to me of late, which was last night's jaunt to the 100 club in Oxford Street London (I know, I feel swanky) to see 5 comedians.... I will not pretend to remember all their names but I have it on good authority that they were- Fergus Craig, Jonny Sweet, Ed Byrne, Tom Basden and Adam Buxton.

Now, anyone that knows me will be aware of my 'unusual' sense of humour. I will laugh at things no one else finds funny while remaining stoney faced as others struggle to prevent themselves peeing their pants. Keeping this in mind you can see how going to a comedy night was a real challenge for me. Upon entering the club I feared I would just sit out the whole night without cracking a smile- not the best when with someone who definitely has their conventional sense of funny in tact.

Thankfully, the evening was a roaring success and I found myself crying with laughter at Johnny Sweet, chuckling at Fergus Craig and Ed Byrne, unable to breathe with laughter while watching Adam Buxton and, best of all, finding myself completly able to relate to Tom Basden as he spoke about his hilarious novel.

So, other than a brilliant evening out, the fall out from last night is that it seems I do have a convential sense of humour just waiting to be released and I can laugh at the same things as other people.... Thank Goodness for that!

This experience will have to be repeated, methinks, lest I forget that I don't have to be a complete outcast when it comes to comedy.
